in 1975 by Calvin D. Burrus Jr., CAPE DREDGING INC still family
owned and operated is a licensed full service marine contracting
company. Operating primarily in North Carolina but not limited to
due to the portability of our DSC 10” hydraulic cutter head dredge.
Support equipment includes booster pump, 2 tender boats, 2 barges, 1
dozer, 2 loaders, 2 long reach excavators, and one standard
excavator. Also including trucking and trailer equipment.
CAPE DREDGING INC has been involved in numerous
marine projects including dike construction, boat lift construction,
and structural demo. Removing and installing bulkheads, clamshell
dredging, wetland restoration, mining and salvage. Because of our
size we are a versatile company.
Some of our past projects include Sea Harbor
Marina in Oriental, NC, Morehead City Yacht Basin, NC, numerous
mining projects for Barnhill Contracting Company in Currituck and
Avon and various projects for the Dare County Oregon Inlet Waterway
Commission. One of our most recent dredging projects, to begin very
soon is the Sandy Point Development in Edenton, NC. For updates on
